Amazon Drive Cloud storage from Amazon. Tried deskjet 648c printer and uninstalling software. Tried disconnecting power and computer cables and reconnecting as suggested by HP. Tried cleaning all areas inside suggested by others--carriage bar, encoder strip, rollers, paper separator, sponge rim and caps on inside right of unit.
No luck. Checked cartridges--all O. Gives a good BW and color prints.
Speed is OK. Low operating cost.

PCL 3. Fonts Included. Max H-Document Size. Max V-Document Size. Resetting the printer does not fix the problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled new printer driver to no avail. The problem is more evident with any printing that has text all the way down to the last line, it will print that line that start the blinking deskjet 648c printer situation.
Anyone else found a fix to this problem? Respond to this.

Dave I have found that most problems on these printers are cleaning and lack of lubrication. After three years due to paper dust and ink I am sure this machine needs it. Cleaning the print shaft: 1.
